Iaroslaw Lewandowski: "I like Ukrainian people"

At the fan-zone near the Palace of Sport in Kyiv we met one pole, who was watching the first game of his team on EURO 2016 with North Ireland. So we talk a little with Iaroslaw Lewandowski, which is studying in Poland.

Tell us something about yourself.

My name is Iaroslaw Lewandowski, i live in Warsaw and studying computer sciences. I went to Ukraine to visit my doctor. Kyiv is beautiful city, i love it.
Why do you choose computer sciences?
Because before studying I was working in this field, and when I finished it my salary grew. But still it's not my main interest.
And what are your main interests then?
My main interests are sport, gym, business (I've got online shop with mobile phones). Computer sciences as speciality is not my plan for the future, it's too boring for me.
Do you know that studying in Poland is very popular for Ukrainaian students, and a lot of them go study to Poland? What do you think about it?
Yes, there are many Ukrainians in Poland. A lot of them do the hard physical work. I like Ukrainian people, they are very nice and easy-going.
Do you see your future in Poland?
Yes, even if we got lower salaries than in Germany, UK or Spain, Poland is still good place to live. Polish people are very friendly.
Have you been following the EURO 2012 that was hosted by Ukraine and Poland?
Of course. I watched the first match of EURO 2012 at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex. I must admit that our team played much worse that time. But now we have a new trainer and he's good. He really builds the team spirit, that's really important for new and young players. For example, Bartosz Kapustka, who's only 19 and plays for Cracovia club. So it's his first high level international game.
